nwAppnFwdLsSscpSession

Module: CTRON-APPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-APPN-MIB::nwAppnFwdLsSscpSession

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.5.2.2.3.1.1.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Requests a host system to initiate sessions between its SSCP and dependent LUs within APPN Routing Services. If set to yes, then nwAppnFwdLsPuName is required. Note: once this parameter is set along with other link station parameters associated with a link station definition, it cannot be modified. In order to change it, the link station definition itself must be deleted and then redefined with the new parameter.

What is nwAppnFwdLsSscpSession?

This read-write enumeration (yes(1)/no(2)) requests a host system to initiate SSCP sessions with dependent LUs over this specific link, and setting it to yes(1) requires nwAppnFwdLsPuName to also be configured; once set with other link parameters, it cannot be changed without deleting and redefining the link station. This is the setting an admin uses when this link needs to carry traditional dependent-LU SNA traffic to a host, not just APPN peer sessions. An admin connecting a downstream 3270 controller through this link would set this to yes(1) and configure the corresponding PU name.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.5.2.2.3.1.1.1.12
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-APPN-MIB::nwAppnFwdLsSscpSession

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.5.2.2.3.1.1.1.12.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CTRON-APPN-MIB::nwAppnFwdLsSscpSession.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.5.2.2.3.1.1.1.12.1 i <value>
