nwAppnFwdLsLimitedRsrc

Module: CTRON-APPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTRON-APPN-MIB::nwAppnFwdLsLimitedRsrc

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.2.2.3.5.2.2.3.1.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specifies whether this link is to be deactivated when there are no sessions using the link. If nwAppnFwdLsCpCpSessSupp is yes, however, the link will not be deactivated if CP-CP sessions are terminated. Note also that a link over a non-switched port cannot be configured as a limited resource.

What is nwAppnFwdLsLimitedRsrc?

This read-write enumeration (yes(1)/no(2)) specifies whether this specific link should be deactivated once no sessions remain using it, though it won't be torn down if CP-CP sessions are still active on it, and a link on a nonswitched port cannot be configured this way. An admin uses this to control whether an individual switched link disconnects automatically during idle periods, saving connect costs. An admin managing a dial-backup link station would set this to yes(1) so it drops automatically once the last session ends.
