Description: Sets the administrative state of a link to an adjacent link station. enabled(3) causes the link to become established. disable(2) causes the link to terminate. There are various severities of disabling a link which are selected via the leaf node nwAppnFwdLsStopType described further within this branch.
What is nwAppnFwdLsAdminStatus?
This read-write enumeration sets the administrative state of the link to this adjacent link station to other(1), disable(2), or enable(3), controlling whether the link is established or terminated. Disabling a link here can be done with varying severity, chosen separately through nwAppnFwdLsStopType, so this object alone doesn't dictate how gracefully the link goes down. An admin decommissioning a link to a retired remote site would set this to disable(2) after first choosing an appropriate stop type.
