Description: Specifies the total number of links that can be active on this port. If nwAppnExtIfPortType = nonswitched(1) and nwAppnExtIfLocalLsRole = negotiable(1), or secondary(3), then this value must be set to 1.
What is nwAppnExtIfTotLsActLim?
This read-write integer (1-256) caps the total number of link stations that can be simultaneously active on this port. There's a hard constraint tied to it: if the port is nonswitched and the local link-station role is negotiable or secondary, this value must be exactly 1. An admin configuring a multi-drop switched port serving several remote sites might raise this well above 1 to allow multiple concurrent links.
