This read-write integer (0-255) holds the second of three generic user-defined parameters an admin can attach to link stations on this port for site-specific bookkeeping. Like its sibling user-defined fields, APPN does not interpret this value itself, leaving its meaning entirely to local convention. A site might use this second slot to tag a vendor or carrier code separate from what's stored in nwAppnExtIfDfltUsrDef1.
