fpsSystemMode
Module: CTFPS-MIB
OID (symbolic): CTFPS-MIB::fpsSystemMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.11.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The current operation mode of the FPS.
What is fpsSystemMode?
This read-only value reports whether the Cabletron FPS forwarding engine is currently running in bridge(1) or switch(2) mode. An admin cares because the operating mode determines how the FPS learns addresses and forwards traffic, which affects how other FPS objects like fpsPortLearningStatus should be interpreted. For example, querying fpsSystemMode and getting switch(2) confirms the FPS blade is running in switching mode rather than legacy transparent bridging.
