Description: If this object is set to enable, the signalling for this interface is enabled. If this object is set to disable, signalling is disabled. When read, this object returns the state of the object based on the last request made.

What is ctATMSignalStatus?
This read-write INTEGER, enable or disable, persistent across reboots, turns ATM call signaling on or off for an interface, with reads reflecting the last requested state. An admin toggles this to turn signaling capability on or off for an ATM interface, typically disabling it on links that only ever carry static PVCs. For example, setting this to disable(2) on an interface used purely for PVCs turns off SVC signaling that isn't needed, avoiding unnecessary signaling overhead on that link.
