ctATMPhyRedundActivation

Module: CTATM-CONFIG-MIB

OID (symbolic): CTATM-CONFIG-MIB::ctATMPhyRedundActivation

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.10.1.2.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: If this object is set to automatic, a backup port will automatically be activated upon failure of the active port.

If this object is set to manual, it will require the manual setting of ctATMPhyRedundActivePort to activate a port upon failure of the currently active port.

See ctATMPhyRedundActivePort for a description of the relationships between this object, ctATMPhyRedundStatus, ctATMPhyRedundActivePort, and ctATMPhyRedundPrimaryRevert.

This object is persistent.

What is ctATMPhyRedundActivation?

This read-write INTEGER, automatic or manual, determines whether a backup port is automatically activated upon failure of the active port, or whether the admin must manually set ctATMPhyRedundActivePort themselves after a failure. An admin chooses automatic for hands-off failover or manual to control cutover timing personally. For example, setting this to manual(2) means that if the active port fails, traffic stays down until the admin explicitly sets ctATMPhyRedundActivePort to the backup port.
