ctBroadcastPeakBroadcastClear

Module: CT-BROADCAST-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-BROADCAST-MIB::ctBroadcastPeakBroadcastClear

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.13.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object is used to clear the values found in peakBroadcastRate and peakBroadcastRateTime.

What is ctBroadcastPeakBroadcastClear?

This control resets the recorded peak broadcast rate and its timestamp back to a baseline when written with clear; reading the object always returns noClear, and writing noClear has no effect. Admins use this after investigating and resolving the cause of a recorded peak, so future peaks can be tracked cleanly without the old high-water mark lingering. For example, after addressing the device that caused a broadcast spike, an admin would set ctBroadcastPeakBroadcastClear to clear to reset the peak statistics for that interface.
