What is fanGenNum?
This read-only INTEGER is the unique number assigned to a fan inside its tray. An administrator uses this number together with fanGenTraySlotNum to pinpoint one specific fan among the up to two per Starfire fan tray. For example, a failure reported against fan number 2 in a given tray tells the technician which of the two fans in that tray needs attention.
