Description: The maximum number of processor in a system board. There is a max of 4 processors in a Starfire system board.

What is confMaxProcPerSysBrd?

This read-only INTEGER states the maximum number of processors a system board can hold, noted as 4 for a Starfire system board. An administrator uses this ceiling to judge whether a given board reported in sysBrdGenNumProc is fully populated or has spare CPU sockets. For example, a board reporting 2 processors against this maximum of 4 tells the admin two sockets remain available for future upgrade.
