mtrapinfoInteger

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::mtrapinfoInteger

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.2.2.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Allow CPS traps with an integer argument for providing detail information. Not being defined in the MIB, only reply 0.

What is mtrapinfoInteger?

This read-only integer exists as a placeholder that CPS traps can attach an integer detail value to; the MIB notes it is not otherwise defined and a direct GET always just returns 0. Polling it directly carries no independent meaning, but the same OID inside an actual trap's variable bindings can carry a real value describing that event. For example, a trap payload might carry a meaningful integer value in this slot even though a plain SNMP GET on the OID itself always reports 0.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.2.2.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CPS-MIB::mtrapinfoInteger

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.2.2.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CPS-MIB::mtrapinfoInteger.1
