Description: Setting this OID to restartCurrentSystem (2) will restart the current system. Setting this OID to restartCurrentAgent (3) will restart the current agent. Setting this OID to restartCurrentSystemAnd Agent (4) will restart the current the current system and agent.
What is mcontrolRestart?
This read-write enumerated value lets an admin remotely restart the current system, the current agent, or both, by setting it to the corresponding value. It gives an admin a way to recover a hung system or SNMP agent process without physically power-cycling the hardware. For example, an admin sets this to restartCurrentAgent(3) to recover a hung SNMP agent process without interrupting the UPS system it monitors.
