envirTempRateOfChange

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::envirTempRateOfChange

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.4.2.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The rate of change of the temperature. The value expressed in Fahrenheit per 5 minute.

What is envirTempRateOfChange?

This read-write integer sets the alarm threshold for how many degrees Fahrenheit the temperature may change within a 5-minute window before triggering an alarm. Admins use this to catch a rapid temperature swing, such as a sudden cooling failure, that a static high or low threshold alone might not catch quickly enough. Setting this to 5 degrees per 5 minutes would flag a fast-developing overheat event well before the absolute high-temperature threshold is even reached.
