envirTempLowThreshold

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::envirTempLowThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.4.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The low temperature threshold of the environment sensor. The value expressed in Fahrenheit.

What is envirTempLowThreshold?

This read-write integer sets the low-temperature alarm threshold for the environmental sensor, in whole degrees Fahrenheit. Admins configure it to catch abnormally cold conditions, such as a cooling system malfunctioning and overcooling a space, or an HVAC fault in winter. Setting this to 50 degrees F would trigger an alarm if a server room unexpectedly dropped below that temperature, potentially indicating a stuck cooling control.
