Description: The number of degrees beyond the temperature thresholds at which an active temperature alarm will be cleared. This configuration setting applies to all temperature thresholds. Units are displayed in Fahrenheit.

What is envirTempHysteresis?

This read-write integer sets how many degrees beyond a temperature threshold the reading must recover before an active temperature alarm clears, applied uniformly across all the sensor's Fahrenheit thresholds. Admins use hysteresis to prevent an alarm from rapidly flapping on and off when the temperature hovers right at the threshold. Setting this to 3 degrees means a high-temperature alarm triggered at 85 degrees F won't clear until the temperature drops back down to 82 degrees, not just to 84.9 degrees.
