ePDUOutletPhaseOverloadRestriction
Module: CPS-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::ePDUOutletPhaseOverloadRestriction
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.3.3.2.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This OID controls the behavior of a Switched Rack PDU phase when an overload condition is possible and additional outlets are requested to be turned on.
Setting this OID to alwaysAllowTurnON (1) will always allow the outlets on the corresponding phase to turn on.
Setting this OID to restrictOnNearOverload (2) will not allow outlets on the corresponding phase to turn on if the ePDULoadConfigNearOverloadThreshold OID is exceeded.
Setting this OID to restrictOnOverload (3) will not allow outlets on the corresponding phase to turn on if the ePDULoadConfigOverloadThreshold OID is exceeded.
What is ePDUOutletPhaseOverloadRestriction?
This read-write enumerated integer controls whether outlets on a given phase are allowed to turn on when that phase is near or at an overload condition: alwaysAllowTurnON(1) permits it regardless, restrictOnNearOverload(2) blocks new outlets from turning on once the near-overload threshold is exceeded, and restrictOnOverload(3) blocks it only once fully overloaded. Admins set this to prevent a phase from being pushed past a dangerous load when someone tries to power on additional equipment. Setting phase 1 to restrictOnNearOverload(2) would prevent an admin's attempt to turn on another outlet on that phase if it's already running close to its configured overload threshold.
