This read-only integer reports which bank of the PDU a given outlet belongs to. Admins use it to understand which breaker-protected group an outlet falls under, which matters when deciding where to plug in new equipment without overloading a single bank. Learning that outlets 1-8 all report bank 1 tells the admin those eight outlets share one circuit breaker and shouldn't collectively be pushed near that bank's rated load.
