ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredNearOverloadThreshold
Module: CPS-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredNearOverloadThreshold
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.3.3.4.3.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: A threshold that indicates the power consumption of the load is nearing an overload condition. It is represented in watts. A warning will be issued when the load is greater than or equal to the threshold value.
Minimum value must be greater than the value returned by the ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredLowLoadThreshold OID.
Maximum value must be less than or equal to the value returned by the ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredOverloadThreshold OID.
0 will be returned if the unit is not Outlet Monitored Rack PDU.
What is ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredNearOverloadThreshold?
This read-write integer sets the near-overload warning threshold, in watts, for a monitored outlet, required to sit between that outlet's low-load and overload thresholds. Admins use it to get advance warning that a specific piece of equipment's power draw is climbing toward that outlet's rated limit. Setting this to 400 watts on an outlet whose overload threshold is 450 watts flags rising consumption, perhaps from a device under heavier compute load, before it actually crosses into overload.
