ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredEnergyReset

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredEnergyReset

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.3.3.4.3.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this OID to reset (2) will cause the device energy meter value to be reset to zero.

Getting this oid will do nothing and return noAction (1) if the PDU support this feature, return notSupport (3) if the PDU do not support this feature.

What is ePDUOutletConfigMonitoredEnergyReset?

This read-write enumerated integer, when set to reset(2), zeroes out the device's cumulative energy meter; reading it returns noAction(1) if supported or notSupport(3) if the feature isn't available on that unit. Admins use this at the start of a new billing or reporting period to begin tracking energy consumption from zero rather than carrying over a prior period's total. Setting this to reset(2) on the first of the month lets facilities track that month's energy usage independently of prior months' cumulative totals.
