This read-only integer reports how many outlet banks the Rack PDU has, where each bank shares a single circuit breaker for a subset of the unit's total outlets, returning 0 if the PDU has no banks. Admins use it to know how many separate breaker-protected groups of outlets exist before distributing high-draw equipment across them. A PDU reporting 2 here tells the admin outlets are split across two independently breakered banks, so overloading one bank won't necessarily trip the other.
