This read-only gauge reports the combined power consumption, in watts, of all Rack PDU devices in a daisy-chain group, and like the device count it returns 0 when read from a slave unit. It gives an admin a single aggregate power figure for an entire chained PDU group instead of having to sum each unit individually. For example, an admin monitoring a rack fed by four chained PDUs would query the master unit's total power to see the rack's overall draw at a glance.
