ePDU2DeviceConfigColdstartDelay

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::ePDU2DeviceConfigColdstartDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.6.3.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The amount of delay, measured in seconds, between when power is provided to the Rack PDU and when the Rack PDU provides basic master power to the outlets.

Allowed values are: -1 - never apply power automatically. 0 - apply power immediately. 1 to 300 - delay up to 300 seconds (5 minutes).

What is ePDU2DeviceConfigColdstartDelay?

This read-write integer, in seconds, sets how long a Rack PDU waits after receiving power before providing master power to its outlets, with -1 meaning never apply power automatically, 0 meaning immediately, and 1 to 300 a configurable delay. An admin staggers this across multiple PDUs feeding the same rack so they don't all inrush simultaneously after a facility power event. For example, setting this to 45 seconds on a secondary PDU ensures it doesn't repower its outlets at the exact same instant as the primary PDU after a shared circuit trips and resets.
