What is bmProbesStringIndex?

This read-only integer, ranging from 1 to 16, identifies which battery string a given probe is installed on. It helps an admin narrow down a probe alarm to a specific string when a battery manager oversees multiple parallel strings. For example, a probe reporting string index 3 tells the admin to check the third of up to 16 configured strings.
