bmIdentName

Module: CPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPS-MIB::bmIdentName

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3808.1.1.7.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: Battery manager system identification name.

What is bmIdentName?

This read-write display string lets an admin assign a custom identification name to the battery manager unit. Naming the unit makes it easier to recognize in monitoring dashboards, especially when many battery managers are deployed across different sites. For example, an admin might set this to 'DC-Room2-BM1' so alerts from this unit are immediately traceable to a specific room.
