cpqMeAlarmStartupAlarm
Module: CPQTHRSH-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPQTHRSH-MIB::cpqMeAlarmStartupAlarm
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.10.2.2.2.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The alarm that may be sent when this entry is first set to valid.
If the sample type (cpqMeAlarmSampleType) is absoluteValue(1), then the following comparisons are used to generate an event.
If cpqMeAlarmStartupAlarm is equal to risingAlarm(1) or risingOrFallingAlarm(3), then a single event will be generated if the first sample after this entry becomes valid is greater than or equal to this threshold. If cpqMeAlarmStartupAlarm is equal to fallingAlarm(2) or risingOrFallingAlarm(3), then a single event will be generated if the first sample after this entry becomes valid is less than or equal to this threshold.
This object may not be modified if the associated cpqMeAlarmStatus object is equal to valid(1).
What is cpqMeAlarmStartupAlarm?
This read-write enumerated value controls whether an alarm may fire immediately based on the very first sample taken after the entry becomes valid, and if so whether it triggers on a rising, falling, or either-direction comparison. Administrators set this to control whether a newly enabled alarm can trip right away versus only on subsequent threshold crossings. For example, setting this to risingAlarm(1) means the first sample alone can trigger an event if it's already above the rising threshold, rather than waiting for a rising crossing to happen naturally.
