cpqMeAlarmInterval

Module: CPQTHRSH-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQTHRSH-MIB::cpqMeAlarmInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.10.2.2.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The interval, in seconds, between consecutive samples of the data. When setting this variable, care should be given to ensure that the variable being monitored will not exceed 2^31 - 1 and roll over.

The first sample will be taken immediately upon the cpqMeAlarmStatus being set to valid(1).

This object may not be modified if the associated cpqMeAlarmStatus object is equal to valid(1).

What is cpqMeAlarmInterval?

This read-write integer sets how often, in seconds, the agent samples the variable named in the corresponding cpqMeAlarmVariable entry, and it cannot be modified once the alarm's status is valid. Administrators tune this interval to balance responsiveness against overhead, being careful the underlying counter won't roll over between samples. For example, setting this to 30 for a fast-changing counter avoids missing a wraparound that a 300-second interval might mask.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.10.2.2.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CPQTHRSH-MIB::cpqMeAlarmInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.10.2.2.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CPQTHRSH-MIB::cpqMeAlarmInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.10.2.2.2.1.2.1 i <value>
