What is upsEnvAmbientHumidity?
This is the ambient relative humidity reading, from 0 to 100 percent, taken near the UPS or its SNMP agent. Administrators monitor it because both excessively dry and excessively humid conditions can damage electronics and encourage condensation. For example, a spike in upsEnvAmbientHumidity after a cooling system leak could warn staff of a moisture problem in the equipment room before corrosion sets in.
