cpqCrLogDrvStatus

Module: CPQCR-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPQCR-MIB::cpqCrLogDrvStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.141.2.3.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: RAIDset Status.

The RAIDset can be in one of the following states:

Good (2) Indicates that the RAIDset is fully operational.

Reduced (3) Indicates that the RAIDset is operating in a degraded or reduced state. One or more of the physical disks which make up the RAIDset are either missing or failed, but the RAIDset can continue to operate without data loss.

Failed (4) Indicates that the RAIDset is not operational.

Reconstructing (5) Indicates that the RAIDset is regenerating a failed physical drive's data onto a replacement drive that is part of the RAIDset.

All user data remains available during the reconstruction process, but some performance reduction may occur when a request requires access to the device being reconstructed.

Initializing (6) Indicates that the controller is writing its file structure onto the RAIDset's member devices.

What is cpqCrLogDrvStatus?

This read-only enumerated value reports the operational state of a RAIDset: good(2) if fully operational, reduced(3) if degraded but still serving data, failed(4), reconstructing(5) while rebuilding after a drive replacement, or initializing(6). An administrator monitors this to know whether a RAIDset needs urgent attention or is merely in a temporary recovery state. Seeing reduced(3) would tell an admin a physical drive has failed or is missing but the RAIDset is still up, making a prompt drive replacement important before a second failure causes real data loss.
