This read-only integer reports the current live reading from temperature sensor 1 in the cabinet, in whichever unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit) the CMC is configured to use. An administrator polls it to see the actual ambient temperature at that sensor's location rather than just a pass/fail status. A reading climbing from 72 to 95 over a few polling cycles would tell an admin that cooling in that part of the rack is degrading.
