Description: Status of the second CPU fan Possible Values: Alert: CPU Two Fan: Fan not functioning;
This indicates that the fan on the auxiliary processor is running either below the specified speed or not running at all. If a fan is not working correctly, it must be fixed as soon as possible or damage may result.
This is a high priority event which can prove catastrophic to the processor as well as the system. This trap can only be sent by systems which contain an actual fan on the auxiliary CPU.
What is fanTwoStatus?
fanTwoStatus is a DisplayString that alerts when the fan cooling the auxiliary (second) CPU is not functioning, mirroring fanOneStatus but for the auxiliary processor's fan. Like fanOneStatus, this is flagged as a potentially catastrophic high-priority condition, so an admin monitoring both CPU fans separately can tell which processor is at risk of overheating. For example, if fanTwoStatus reports "Alert: CPU Two Fan: Fan not functioning" while fanOneStatus stays clear, the admin knows specifically the auxiliary processor's cooling has failed and needs urgent attention.
