Description: A coDeviceConfigurationFailureNotification trap signifies that the SNMP entity has detected a device configuration failure.

What is coDeviceConfigurationFailureNotification?

This is a SNMP trap that fires when the Colubris wireless access point detects a misconfiguration or invalid setup in its operating parameters. The device sends this notification to management stations when it encounters configuration conflicts, missing required settings, or policy violations. An operator would use this alert to immediately investigate and correct the configuration before service degradation occurs.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' COLUBRIS-DEVICE-MIB::coDeviceConfigurationFailureNotification
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.8744.5.23.2.0.5

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:
