Description: If Port 7 is Powered, attched device will be reset when set to 1. If Port 7 is Not Powered, nothing will happen.
What is port7PwrReset?
This read-write INTEGER (0..1) triggers a momentary power reset of whatever PoE device is attached to port 7, but only takes effect if that port is currently powered; per the description, writing it when the port has no power does nothing. It gives an admin a remote power-cycle button for a frozen device on port 7 instead of dispatching a technician. For example, if a wireless radio on port 7 stops responding to pings, setting port7PwrReset to 1 reboots it by cutting and restoring its PoE feed.
