What is port7Config?
This read-write enumeration sets the link speed and duplex mode for port 7 on the CMM-III, choosing among auto-negotiate, 100 or 10 Mbit/s, and full or half duplex. An admin cares about it because a mismatched forced speed/duplex on port 7 is a classic cause of excessive collisions or dropped throughput on that link. For instance, forcing port7Config to tenFDX(4) locks port 7 to 10 Mbit/s full duplex to match an older device that cannot auto-negotiate reliably.
