temperatureSensor9HardShutdown

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::temperatureSensor9HardShutdown

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.1.5.4.1.46

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The blade hard shutdown temperature for IPMI blades in degrees centigrade(C). An octet string expressed as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' where: s is the sign ('-' for negative or blank space for positive) d is a decimal digit or blank space for leading zeroes. The string 'Not Readable!' indicates that the given monitor is not supported on this system. The string 'No Temperature' indicates that the given monitor does not exist on this system or is powered off.

What is temperatureSensor9HardShutdown?

This read-only octet string reports the hard-shutdown threshold for IPMI blade sensor 9, the third and final numbered sensor in this group, independent of sensors 7 and 8's own thresholds. It's the number an admin compares bladeSensor9Temp against to judge how close that specific thermal zone is to forcing an automatic blade shutdown. An admin investigating a blade shutdown event would check whether bladeSensor9Temp had approached temperatureSensor9HardShutdown right before the shutdown occurred, in addition to checking sensors 7 and 8.
