temperatureSensor7Warning

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::temperatureSensor7Warning

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.1.5.4.1.41

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The blade hard shutdown temperature for IPMI blades in degrees centigrade(C). An octet string expressed as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' where: s is the sign ('-' for negative or blank space for positive) d is a decimal digit or blank space for leading zeroes. The string 'Not Readable!' indicates that the given monitor is not supported on this system. The string 'No Temperature' indicates that the given monitor does not exist on this system or is powered off.

What is temperatureSensor7Warning?

This read-only octet string reports the warning temperature threshold for IPMI blade sensor 7, in the same 'sddd.dd Centigrade' format used throughout this sensor group. Crossing this threshold is meant to give an admin advance notice before the blade reaches the more severe temperatureSensor7HardShutdown level, making it the earlier trip point worth alerting on. An admin wanting a proactive cooling-fault alert would watch for bladeSensor7Temp exceeding temperatureSensor7Warning rather than waiting for a hard shutdown.
