temperatureSensor7HardShutdown
Module: CME-MIB
OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::temperatureSensor7HardShutdown
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.1.5.4.1.40
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: The blade hard shutdown temperature for IPMI blades in degrees centigrade(C). An octet string expressed as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' where: s is the sign ('-' for negative or blank space for positive) d is a decimal digit or blank space for leading zeroes. The string 'Not Readable!' indicates that the given monitor is not supported on this system. The string 'No Temperature' indicates that the given monitor does not exist on this system or is powered off.
What is temperatureSensor7HardShutdown?
This read-only octet string reports the hard-shutdown temperature threshold for IPMI blade sensor 7, formatted as 'sddd.dd Centigrade' with the same sign/digit conventions and fallback strings as the sensor-reading objects. It's the temperature at which the blade will forcibly power itself off to prevent hardware damage if bladeSensor7Temp climbs that high, so it's the critical ceiling an admin needs to know when setting external alerting thresholds. An admin configuring a monitoring alert to fire before an actual shutdown occurs would set their alert threshold safely below whatever value temperatureSensor7HardShutdown reports.
