Description: Enable/Disable TCP command mode (TCM) access to the MM. A value of 0 means disabled, any value from 1 to 20 means enabled. NOTE: MM will provide a max of 20 connections for both Secure TCP Command Mode and TCP Command Mode.
What is tcm?
This read-write integer (0 to 20), sharing its 20-connection pool with STCM, controls whether TCP Command Mode (TCM) access to the management module is enabled, with the value representing the number of simultaneous TCM connections allowed. An admin disables this (0) in favor of the encrypted STCM alternative when hardening remote scripting access. For example, setting tcm to 5 would allow up to five concurrent unencrypted TCP command mode sessions, sharing the 20-connection pool with STCM.
