Description: Contains the IP address for the ethernet interface.

NOTE: This MIB object is only applicable to systems with a standby MM.

What is standbyExtEthernetInterfaceIPAddress?

This read-write object holds the IP address for the standby management module's ethernet interface, applicable only to chassis with an installed standby MM. An administrator configures this so the standby MM has a distinct, reachable management address independent of the active MM's address. For example, an admin pings this standby IP address directly to confirm the standby management module is up and reachable before relying on it during a planned failover.
