This writable enum enables or disables the MM's SSL client function, used when the MM itself initiates outbound TLS connections, and the MM will refuse to enable it if no valid client or server certificate is present. It matters for any MM feature that calls out over TLS (such as secure LDAP or update checks), since disabling this breaks those outbound secure connections. An admin who wants the MM to validate an LDAPS server certificate first needs sslClientEnable set to enabled(1) with valid certificates already loaded.
