smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The prefix length for the given address.

NOTE: If changing with smIPv6StaticAddress and/or smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute sending the update as a single SET command(in one PDU) will minimize the potential downtime of the target switch.

NOTE: Sets on this object can take a few seconds. You may need to update your SNMP timeout when modifying this setting.

What is smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen?

This read-write object sets the prefix length that goes with the switch module's manually configured static IPv6 address. It must be changed in step with the address itself, since an admin who sets the address without recalculating the correct prefix length can misconfigure the subnet. For example, moving a module from a /64 to a /112 static subnet requires updating this object together with smIPv6StaticAddress in the same SET request to minimize downtime.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.3.1 i <value>
