smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddressIPv6

Access: read-write

Description: The default route used for the given address

NOTE: If changing with smIPv6StaticAddressPrefixLen and/or smIPv6StaticAddress sending the update as a single SET command(in one PDU) will minimize the potential downtime of the target switch.

NOTE: Sets on this object can take a few seconds. You may need to update your SNMP timeout when modifying this setting.

What is smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute?

This read-write object defines the default gateway IPv6 address to use with the switch module's static address configuration. Admins set it so the module knows where to send IPv6 traffic destined outside its local subnet, and the description warns to change it together with the static address and prefix length in one PDU. For example, when re-homing a module to a new IPv6 gateway, an admin updates this object in the same SET as smIPv6StaticAddress to avoid a brief loss of management reachability.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIPv6StaticAddressDefaultRoute.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.2.1.4.3.1.4.1 s <value>
