smIOCompatibilityTargetTopologyPath
Module: CME-MIB
OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::smIOCompatibilityTargetTopologyPath
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.1.10.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-only
Description: The unique identifier for a component which communicates with this IO module. This is the
same component identified with an id string in the smIOCompatibilityModuleBay column.
The installed component is represented by a hardware topology tree, where
each node in the tree represents a component. The path to a particular
component consists of one or more
What is smIOCompatibilityTargetTopologyPath?
This read-only octet string (up to 100 bytes) gives the hardware-topology-tree path uniquely identifying the exact component referenced in smIOCompatibilityModuleBay for a given compatibility row, using the same <component>,<instance> path convention used elsewhere in the MIB. It matters when an admin needs to trace a compatibility-status entry back to one specific, unambiguous physical component in a chassis with many nested modules and blades. An admin resolving a flagged incompatibility would use this topology path to locate the exact physical slot of the module involved, rather than relying only on the module-bay id string.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.1.10.1.7 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIOCompatibilityTargetTopologyPath
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.22.3.1.10.1.7.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::smIOCompatibilityTargetTopologyPath.1
