secureCommandModeEnable

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::secureCommandModeEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Set Secure TCP Command Mode number of connections. MM will provide a max of 20 connections for both Secure TCP Command Mode and TCP Command Mode. A value of 0 means disabled. If no valid server certificate is in place, Secure TCP Command Mode will not be allowed to set to enable.

What is secureCommandModeEnable?

This writable integer sets how many simultaneous connections the MM will accept for Secure TCP Command Mode, sharing a combined cap of 20 connections with plain TCP Command Mode; a value of 0 disables it entirely. It matters for automation tooling that scripts against the MM's command-mode interface over TLS, since exceeding the shared 20-connection limit will start rejecting new sessions. The MM will also refuse to enable this object at all if no valid server certificate has been installed, so an admin seeing enable attempts fail should check certificate status first.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::secureCommandModeEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::secureCommandModeEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.4.3.1 i <value>
