This is a write-only INTEGER control: setting it to execute(1) tells the chassis management controller to re-read the blade's MAC address VPD entries fresh from the hardware's EEPROMs instead of serving its last cached copy, and the MIB notes that a GET of this object returns a meaningless value. An admin triggers this right after hot-swapping a card whose VPD table entries still show stale or blank data, avoiding the need for a full management-module reboot to pick up the change. For example, after installing a new expansion card in a blade, an admin sets reloadMACAddress to execute(1) so the correct new MAC addresses appear in the bladeDaughterCardMACAddress objects instead of blanks or the old card's addresses.
