logicalUplinkCheckEnabled

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::logicalUplinkCheckEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.7.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Disable or enable network uplink checking for logical detection. logicalUplinkDestination must be set to a non-zero IP Address before enable logical uplink checking.

NOTE: This MIB object is only applicable to systems with a standby MM.

What is logicalUplinkCheckEnabled?

This writable enum turns logical uplink checking on or off, but the description specifies logicalUplinkDestination must already be set to a non-zero address before this can be meaningfully enabled; like the destination object, it only applies to systems with a standby MM. It matters because enabling this without a valid destination configured would leave the failover mechanism effectively non-functional despite appearing enabled. An admin setting up MM redundancy would first configure logicalUplinkDestination, then set logicalUplinkCheckEnabled to uplinkCheckEnabled(1).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.7.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::logicalUplinkCheckEnabled

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.7.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::logicalUplinkCheckEnabled.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.3.7.4.1 i <value>
