Description: Disable/Enable of the HTTP Proxy. Select Enable to use the proxy for call home connections from the MM to IBM. HTTP Proxy is used by the MM when it is not connected to the internet directly.
What is httpProxyEnable?
This object enables or disables use of an HTTP proxy for the CMM's call-home connections to IBM, intended for environments where the management module isn't connected to the internet directly. An admin in a network that requires all outbound traffic to pass through a proxy enables this setting so Service Advisor call-home traffic actually reaches IBM. For example, an admin deploying a chassis in a data center with no direct internet access would enable this object and then configure httpProxyLocation before Service Advisor could successfully report issues.
