Description: If this is enabled, the management module will monitor for Hot Air Recirculation by detecting non-uniform air temperature(s) that may be entering the front of the chassis.

This could be due to either localized hot or cold air reaching at least one of the node's or chassis temperature sensors and it exceeding the acceptable range. When enabled, this monitor will generate an event and be transmitted to any configured remote alert recipient.

What is hotAirRecircMonitoring?

This setting enables or disables monitoring for hot air recirculation, a condition where non-uniform hot or cold air reaches the front intake temperature sensors of the chassis or its nodes. When enabled, the management module watches for this condition and generates an event if a sensor exceeds the acceptable range. For example, an admin in a data center with tightly packed racks might enable this to catch hot exhaust air being pulled back into the chassis intake.
