groupRBSSwitchModuleConfiguration

Module: CME-MIB

OID (symbolic): CME-MIB::groupRBSSwitchModuleConfiguration

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.1.7.2.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Group can modify the I/O Module IP address, configure I/O Module Advanced Management parameters, and restore factory defaults on an I/O Module. Note that a group requires both I/O Module configuration and I/O Module administration roles in order to be able to launch a telnet session to an I/O Module, or to restore factory defaults on an I/O Module.

What is groupRBSSwitchModuleConfiguration?

This read-write integer, disabled(0) or enabled(1), when enabled lets the group modify an I/O module's IP address, configure its Advanced Management parameters, and restore its factory defaults, though launching a telnet session or restoring factory defaults additionally requires the group to also hold switch module administration rights. An admin grants this to a network configuration team, understanding they'll also need administration rights for the most disruptive switch-module actions. For example, a group with only groupRBSSwitchModuleConfiguration enabled could change an I/O module's management IP but couldn't telnet into it without also holding groupRBSSwitchModuleAdministration.
