What is extEthernetInterfaceDHCPv6SecondaryDNSServer?

This read-only object reports the secondary DNS server address assigned to the ethernet interface by a DHCPv6 server, reading as all zeros if IPv6 or DHCPv6 is disabled or unavailable. An administrator checks this as the fallback IPv6 DNS server the management module would use if the primary server fails to respond. For example, an admin confirms this secondary DNS server address is populated to provide IPv6 name-resolution resilience.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::extEthernetInterfaceDHCPv6SecondaryDNSServer

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.51.2.4.9.1.4.5.3.2.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CME-MIB::extEthernetInterfaceDHCPv6SecondaryDNSServer.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> extEthernetInterfaceDHCPv6SecondaryDNSServer.1
